EVANGELICAL

LUTHERAN

CHURCH

  LENT III —19 MARCH 2017

Welcome To All

All of us at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church invite you to worship with us regularly.

There is only one absolute in our life and practice here at Cross and Crown. That absolute is God’s Word, the Bible. Everything that we profess to do and be comes from that Word of God. It tells us about every single aspect of our earthly lives: our families, our friends, our work, our entertainment and recreation, our spirituality, our sexuality, our stewardship of our time and treasure, and our worship. We believe that Cross and Crown Lutheran Church correctly presents and preaches God’s Word. We invite any and all to be members in our church who believe like we do that God’s Word is the absolute. We hope that you too can join with us and be part of our congregation!

If you would like to know more about our church and beliefs, please call Pastor Glaeske at (214) 681-0062.

Announcements

Church app
Cross and Crown has an "app."  Go to your app store and find "ChurchLink."  Download the app.  Go to the "Search" feature and put in "Cross and Crown" and "Georgetown" and it will pop up.  Add it to your favorites and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest sermons, Facebook posts, prayer sheets for the week, etc.

Military Contacts

Do you have a family member or friend in the military?  Share their information at wels.net/refer to allow a WELS Military Chaplain to serve them while away from home.

Lenten Worship

We will continue our midweek Lenten worship on March 22 with the series: People of the Passion.  These evening worship opportunities will view the passion of Jesus through the eyes of key individuals involved in the events.  Worship is at 7pm with a soup and sandwich meal at 6pm.

Church Grounds
Volunteers are needed to help mow the church grounds.  A roster will be posted by mid-March and mowing will begin in April and run through October.  The more volunteers, the fewer times you will need to mow!  Contact Mashelle for information.

Outdoor Clean Up Day
Thank you to all who helped beautify the grounds yesterday morning.  They look wonderful!

Meals-On-Wheels
The Congregation's week to participate in this community service to the infirm, shut-ins, and elderly begins the first day of Spring, 20 March.  Others cook and package; our job is to deliver along a predetermined route.  The work is easy, takes two or three hours one morning during our week of service, and, best of all, you'll meet very nice people who welcome outside contacts.  If you would like to become a part of our volunteer group for future deliveries, please contact Zettie.
