EVANGELICAL

LUTHERAN

CHURCH

  EPIPHANY VII —19 FEBRUARY 2017

Welcome To All

All of us at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church invite you to worship with us regularly.

There is only one absolute in our life and practice here at Cross and Crown. That absolute is God’s Word, the Bible. Everything that we profess to do and be comes from that Word of God. It tells us about every single aspect of our earthly lives: our families, our friends, our work, our entertainment and recreation, our spirituality, our sexuality, our stewardship of our time and treasure, and our worship. We believe that Cross and Crown Lutheran Church correctly presents and preaches God’s Word. We invite any and all to be members in our church who believe like we do that God’s Word is the absolute. We hope that you too can join with us and be part of our congregation!

If you would like to know more about our church and beliefs, please call Pastor Glaeske at (214) 681-0062.

Announcements

Our guest pastor this morning is retired Pastor Jon Mahnke.  We thank Pastor Mahnke for leading us in Bible class, for his service message and for ministering to residents at Georgetown Living.  Thank you Pastor Mahnke.  Pastor Geiger will return this week from Minnesota.

In lieu of Ash Wednesday service (March 1) we encourage and invite the congregation to attend the MLC (Martin Luther College) Choir Concert entitled, "My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less," hosted by Holy Word Lutheran Church in Austin at 7pm on March 1.  Martin Luther College is part of the worker training program of the synod.  The college prepares teachers and staff ministers who are ready to accept positions in our congregations and it prepares men to enter the seminary to complete their training to serve as pastors.  Come and meet some of our future workers and the music they bring.
